Age 53, of Cheswick, formerly of Forest Hills, died on Thursday, October 22, 2015, in UPMC Passavant. He was born on December 7, 1961, to his parents, Regis and Trudi Knapp and had resided in Cheswick the past eight years after moving from Forest Hills. Eric was a gifted carpenter who enjoyed building things with his hands. He was a history buff, especially pertaining to the Civil War. Eric liked dogs, especially Golden Retrievers. He also liked horses and was an experienced rider. Surviving him are his beloved friend, Sue Satler, of Cheswick; siblings, Kurt Knapp of Forest Hills, Mark Knapp of McDonald; and sister, Sylvia Labuskes, of Cheswick. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, Laurel, Kristina, Gage and Aubreeanna. Eric's family will receive friends on Monday, October 26, 2015, in THE CHARLES B.
